A Trip to The Park

Today we went to the park with my friend Ronda and her son Marshall. The kids had a great time. Marshall brought a friend, Zach, and the girls chased the boys around the place! The boys loved it! We took bread and fed it to the geese. We were kind of scared that they (the geese) were going to attack us! They all came to us at once and scared us! Ronda got on the tire swing and that is when I realized that I didn't bring the camera!! I really need to get better about that! It was so good for the kids to be able to go to a park and be outside for a good three hours! We wore them out. Okay, I am wore out also!

I am ready for the kids to go back to school, although they are pretty good for me most of the time!
Tomorrow we are going to go to the library in Jonesboro and the kids will get to watch Kung Fu Panda in the round room! Jeff only works until about 1 tomorrow, so he will be with us!

Our plans for the new year? Nothing!! We get to go to bed on time! We might play a game with the kids or something, but no big parties or anything. Can you tell that I love to get my sleep? I don't function well on little sleep. That is one thing that I didn't take after my mother. I have to go and get kids in bed. Happy New Year everyone!

Picture drawing

I know the first pic. is a little blurry, but I wanted to show both anyway. This is a picture that Bradley drew this morning before getting ready for school! I thought it was really good for a 4 year old. I am so proud of my little left handed boy and wanted to share his talent!!

We have been very busy around here and haven't taken many pictures lately. Jeff is on the last stages of getting registered for school. I know, nothin' like waiting until the last minute! I have decided to wait on school, for now. Maybe in 2 years or so I'll go. I have finished all of my mother-in-laws Christmas shopping and wrapped everything also. I will be wrapping my presents as soon as I get done here, and I have dishes and laundry to do today! Yeah me!! Angela Slaughter, I know you must look at my blog and wonder where I went to school, but I hope you still enjoy it anyway.
Can you believe that my kids still have not seen Santa this year!! I need to take them out this week or weekend to see him. The wind is blowing so bad up here in Jonesboro, and it is cold! Nobody wants to be out in this mess. That is probably one of the many things that i DO miss about Pope County, not near as much wind as here. I have Christmas cards made out for a lot of you, but I don't know if I will get them sent out. Where does the time go? I wanted a picture of, at least, the kids, but I don't know if I will get that done. So, Merry Christmas to everyone, and we hope you have a wonderful holiday!!

What's Happening in Our Life

Well, since I forgot my camera last weekend, I don't have any pictures to share of our Christmas Party. :( I thought I would just update everyone on how we are doing. Lexi and I are over our strep throat, although I am still on my antibiotics. Jeff is doing well in his remedial courses for college. He is excited about getting started in January with the real stuff! Bradley is doing okay in pre-k. The girls got their mid-nine week reports today and I am proud to say that they are both doing wonderful! Lexi is all A's this time!!! and Allison is all A's with one B!! I think that is pretty good!! I was really excited for them!

Me, I am trying to decide whether or not to go to cosmetology (however you spell it) school. I can go for free, so why not huh? I am seriously considering it! I just don't know if we can handle him and I both going at the same time. Jeff is on vacation starting Saturday!! We are just going to stay close to home and get some much needed things done! I love spending time with him. There are so many things I need to do in this house but I really don't want to do them. Maybe I will get motivated eventually. Time to go for now. You know, it is past my bedtime!:) Love to all.

Just thought I would write a little. I haven't been keeping up with my blog as well since I have been doing facebook. I like facebook, but I have decided that I like a blog better. I did it!!

Yes, I did it. I did my part in this election, I early voted!! I liked doing that much better than going to the polls on voting day. I felt more relaxed. Everything is going good here. Jeff is still working on his stuff with AR Career Pathways and they told him yesterday to get me to come in and go back to school. I don't know. I wouldn't know what to go for. Definitely not a teacher! I can sub but not full time. They said I could go to be a CNA. Does anyone have any input? Gotta go get kids ready for school. I have to take Bradley to sick call. He has been running fever and says his ear hurts. We all know what that is! See ya!

Costumes

I don't know if any of you are like me, but I hate trying to come up with a costume for Halloween. It is awful. Waste of money if you ask me. Jeff never has done the Halloween thing. So it is up to me. The kids and I had fun at a little Halloween Carnival thing today. No dressing up though. They got to have fun playing games and sliding down the big blow up slide and, of course, seeing their friends. Jeff left for work this morning at 7:30 and it is 8:45 tonight and he is just leaving work. Hard day for him. I hate that for him. Gotta go tuck in kids for bed. It is wonderful when they come to you and ask you to take them to bed. Later.

Busy Busy

I know we all say we are busy all the time but does it really have to be this busy? I mean I had a friend come my way and I couldn't even think to call her before she got here to let her know what was going on in my life and why I couldn't meet her and visit. Some times are busier than others. Well, here it is. Saturday, Oct. 11th was the day the kids and I were to go to Xander's birthday party in Russellville. Woke up and while getting ready to go we get a call that my mother-in-law, Norma, had passed out in her kitchen. (while making our sandwiches for our trip.) Jeff went up there and they ended up calling 911, she went to the hospital. I was stuck, do I leave or not. I couldn't really do anything here because I have these three kids, so Jeff and I decide for me to go ahead and go on my trip. Xander's b-day party was a success! The kids loved it! They got to skate!
The next morning I get a phone call from Jeff saying that his dad just went to the ER from his mom's room in the hospital. Really bad stomach pains! Come to find out, he had gallstones. On Sunday night Jeff and I and the kids stayed with his dad while Donisha(my sister-in-law) stayed with Norma in the hospital. Well, Norma got out of the hospital on Tuesday. We had Allison's last soccer game of the season that night and on Wednesday morning while taking the kids to school I get a phone call from my father-in-law saying that Norma has passed out again and I need to come get her up. I did and she is fine. She is having trouble with her blood pressure dropping. On Thursday, Gene, (my father-in-law), went into the hospital to have his gallbladder removed. Everything went well there and he got to come home that same day. I did stay with Norma that day. On Saturday, we had another birthday skating party to go to for one of Bradley's friends, Rodney. They all had a blast! Things seem to be slowing down a bit, but there is housework and yard work to be done! So for anyone who has emailed or called and I haven't replied, I'm Sorry. Jeff is at the Doctor right now for his yearly physical. We will see how that one goes! I am expecting good news! Oh, I forgot, Bradley was sick on Friday with some kind of virus. I love being close to my in laws when they need us. We would do anything for them. For those of you who do not know, Jeff's dad is 82 and his mom is 78. But they do really good!! Love to all of you. Miss everyone! Girls from high school, we NEED to get together soon!!
